Eight Tips to Boost Peanut Yields
Xuguang Peanuts offers eight tips to boost peanut yields: 1. Choose superior varieties. Select high-yielding, high-quality new cultivars such as Luhua 14, Huayu 16, 8802‑1, and Shuanghua 20. 2. Deep plowing and ample base fertilization. Before tilling, apply a layer of farmyard manure at 2,500 kg per 667 square meters. At the same time, incorporate into the ridges 15 kg of urea, 50 kg of calcium superphosphate, and 15 kg of potassium chloride per 667 square meters. 3. Maintain an appropriate planting density. For plastic-mulched peanuts, set ridge spacing at 90 cm, with a ridge width of 70 cm, and sow two rows per ridge, aiming for approximately 7,400 plants per 667 square meters. 4. Pinch the growing tip of peanut plants during the rosette stage.
